High speed production scanning of composite panels
High speed ultrasonic linear array scanning of composite sheets from less than a mm thick and thicker , with a 64 element linear array probe. The probe head is kept in a water bubbler underneath the sheets of nearly 2 meter wide and moves back and forth under the sheet which is automatically moved forward for 100% inspection.
This project was managed by Inspection Technology Europe who had selected software and hardware supplied by two different wellknown parties in NDT from Uk and Canada.
Together with our team for the electrical and electronics part and a Dutch mechanical engineering company a very robust and flawless operating system was supplied to a major manufacturer of composite sheets.
Our customer received system approval by Airbus.
